I don’t usually do this, but I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish these past 5 months. It’s been a lot of hard work, I had to make some difficult sacrifices in life but I’ve enjoyed every single second and haven’t looked back.

It’s not just the body transformation, it’s the way I trained my mindset to accomplish difficult tasks/goals. This just didn’t change my body, it’s changed the way I perceive life.

SUMMER 2012 COME AT ME BRO!

I’m almost satisfied with myself. Not fully though.. I still have a long ways to go.

THE PAIN, THE SWEAT, THE SACRIFICE. KEEP TELLING YOURSELF IT’S WORTH IT. DAY IN DAY OUT. STAY DETERMINED. BECAUSE PAIN IS TEMPORARY & QUITTING LASTS FOREVER.

thespartanwarrior:

1lb of Muscle vs. 1lb of Fat
One pound of muscle will burn ~10 kcal per day.
The pound of fat will burn ~3 kcal per day.
Weight is a poor measurement of fat loss, for obvious reasons.
So, you lost a pound? That’s a pretty big deal.
Lift heavy stuff and eat enough and you’ll build more muscle which will allow you to burn more fat and get the look of muscular definition that you desire.
Starving yourself and doing cardio for fat loss are a sure fire way to keep your muscles from growing properly and never reaching your full potential. Go lift weights.
If you want to track your progress accurately then you should use some sort of journal to log your body’s measurements and strength changes or take progress pictures on a regular basis.
Stay off the scale.

The Spartan Warrior: There Is No Secret To Success

thespartanwarrior:

The best way to become skilled and effective at anything is through practice. Whether it is managing a business, bodybuilding, networking with other people, writing, running, earning money or cooking, the way to get better at it is to actually spend a significant amount of time doing it.
